Fairfield County, CT

Hartford County was established in 1666. Located in north-central Connecticut, it covers an area of 750 mi². With a population of 892,697, it is the second most populous county in the state as of 2018. Its largest city, Hartford, is known as “The Insurance Capital of the World".

Litchfield County, CT

Litchfield County is found in the northwest corner of Connecticut and covers an area of 945 mi². It has a population of 181,111 and, as with all counties in Connecticut, there is no county seat. The area was established in 1751 and experiences an average of 198 days of sunshine per year.
